Technical Services (Biogas, System of Rice Intensification-SRI, Rain Water Harvesting Programmes)
This is yet another service at the Gami Seva Sevana Ltd. Appropriate Technology like Biogas, Rainwater Harvesting Techniques, Solar drying and Ecological Pest Management (adaption of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system in keeping with organic concepts) are practiced at the Gami Seva Sevana Ltd.
The technical service also provides practical trainings and consultancy work with outside groups notably of our organic farming network members’ locations. This is an expanding advisory service
Solar Dryer.
Inorder to process the local produce like spices of our farmer groups we have installed a solar dryer at The Gami Seva Sevana Ltd. The farmers can now have a value added produce unlike in the past. By using the solar dryer the farmers can eradicate the germ count of produce like pepper where conventionally the farmers have been drying it on a natural basis which has proved to be unhygienic.
